Santa’s Village

We went to a place called Santa’s Village in Richardson tonight.  It’s a great concept, but it was so crowded that we didn’t get to see much. We did get a few pictures with Mrs. Claus and some funny pictures of the kids. Erin’s been fascinated with her tongue lately as you can see:

So the story goes…

One morning I was in Erin’s room feeding her and Will was getting ready for work. Liam was playing in the game room with his blocks. Then, he comes to me tell me that he has something to show me. He had taken these blocks and used them to spell out his name.  He was proud of himself and of course we were too.  And no, we had never shown him how to do that.

Liam spelled out his name with the blocks.

New Photos

I’d love to have the site current on a regular basis, but I’d also love to have 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Oh, how I miss that! That probably won’t happen for several more years, but one can always dream. Keeping the site current will probably come first!

I’m slowly getting caught up. We had some issues with a server that set me back, but I seem to be back on track now.  I wrapped up the last of September and now I’m working on October photos. October was busy with all the Halloween activities. Liam was Aladar from the Dinosaur movie for Halloween and Erin was Minnie Mouse. They looked so cute in their costumes.

We’ve had a tough couple months with illnesses. One or more of us (excluding Erin) has a cold, infection, etc. It seems to be that way for many people I talk to though. We’ve had to finally break down and use a nebulizer for Liam and he is now on Singulair which is to treat asthma. I really don’t like to give him ongoing medication, but at this point I’m not sure what else to do for him.  Poor guy has such a cough that has been with him for awhile now. He doesn’t seem to be too bothered by it though.

Luckily, (with fingers crossed) Erin has been well. She’s a busy baby girl nowadays. She rolls every where she wants to go and she’s sitting up on her own. She’s trying to get in a sitting position on her own, but it must be tough to get that 19.5 lbs upright. Yes, she’s a big girl! She has two bottom teeth now, and I think she will be getting two more soon.  I can’t believe she’ll be 7 months old tomorrow. The time is going too fast…

Follow-up: Citibank Credit Card Fraud

Filed under: Uncategorized — Will at 8:42 pm on Sunday, November 18, 2007

Oddly enough, Citi immediately struck the two small charges - I never saw them on our bill and they were only online for a couple of hours.

However, Citi kept the $1252.86 charge.  Attesting to the fact that that charge was not ours required us to fill out a fraudulent activity affidavit and have it notarized.  I spent the additional $3.75 to send it priority mail w/return receipt.  Within 4-5 days of that receipt, a transaction was downloaded with my daily MS Money update with a Memo of “SECURITY CREDIT-ITEM UNDER INVESTIGATION” in the amount of a $1252.86 credit.

Hopefully, “under investigation” means we can be past this.

Citi Card Fraud Management, So Far Not So Bad

Filed under: Uncategorized — Will at 5:42 pm on Friday, October 5, 2007

Over the past handful of years, all of which have been with Citi, we have had our account flagged for fraudulent activity three times.

The first two simply weren’t actual fraud - I believe the first one was due to some business travel of mine in Toronto, and the second was just b/c I think that Citi felt like increasing their administrative costs.

Neither time was I afforded by Citi any knowledge of what/why the account was flagged.

This time, however, it was different.  I was able to learn that there were three fraudulent charges on the card: $2.03 and $10.15 posted by a “Sun Microsystems” out of London and then a $1252.86 charge posted by an Office Depot in California.

So far, so good, save for the fact that we are without a credit card until Monday.  That said, it’s a heck of a lot better than paying for some ******’s $1265 on our card.

Wait and see, I guess.  I hope Citi makes this painless.

And We Are Now Caught Up With June Photos

Erin is doing well. She’s around 12 lbs now and she’ll be 8 weeks old tomorrow. She’s very much like her brother was as a baby. Liam has started learning to play soccer as you can see in some of the photos. He turned 3 1/2 this month. I can’t believe he’ll be four soon!

Please sign our guestbook if you get a chance!
